Frank Lloyd Wright- Organic Architecture

Frank Lloyd  Wright was best know as an American architect. He believed in designing buildings that were in harmony with there surroundings in nature. This philosophy is known as organic architecture. He lived from 1867 to 1959. Fallingwater is a house that he designed that was built in Pennsylvania. This is the design that he is most known for. This house has received many high awards such as becoming a national historical landmark and was named the best all time work of American architecture for houses in 2007. This beautiful house sits partly over a waterfall and is now a public museum. Despite this being Lloyd's most famous houses build, it has had many repairs done to it. The concrete from the beginning was faults back in 1937 when it was completed. Also because of the humidity there is molding and leaks from inside. The house is estimated to cost around 2.2 million and over 11 million with restoration alone.

The Uncharted Series

Uncharted is a series of third person shooter video games for the Playstation 3. They are developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony. The games focus on Nathan Drake, a modern day treasure hunter as he travels around the world to uncover unsolved historical mysteries. The unique experience is the character development as you play. Naughty Dog has combined a dynamic shooter with cutscenes like a movie. While playing you feel as if you are a main character in a movie. The game can be described as Indiana Jones meets the gaming world for someone that has never played it. Uncharted 2 and 3 both support 3D gaming. Naughty Dog uses a white stage to film all of the cutscenes and transforms an actor into a digital character.

Media during the Super Bowl

When anyone hears Super Bowl, what most likely comes to mind is football. However, the Superbowl is not only football, it’s followed by those commercials that almost everyone can’t get enough of. But the real question is: How does this influence us?

The Super Bowl has been known for 45 years and along with it’s growing success every year, media comes into play. When watching these commercials it’s quiet easy to target who they are meant for. From coca-cola, to cars, and humors remarks, it’s safe to say mainly the male population. This may make us speculate as to why the media wouldn’t ensure that they were gender oriented. There may be no real answer to this question, however when a large percentage of the male population across the world is watching football, it’s best to keep their attention by producing commercials such as these.

The next question is based off of whether or not this is bad or good. To companies wanting to promote their merchandise, without a doubt this is very good. The way in which these commercials are made reflects off of selling products, entertaining the large amount of individuals watching, and keeping the attention during those live football breaks.
